Samsung-Apple talks collapse
Anti-trust fine
Reports in South Korea have said that Samsung is selling the chips to Apple at half their market value, something Samsung executives deny.
Earlier in October, Samsung agreed to plead guilty to involvement in price fixing in the US and to pay a $300m fine.
This is the second largest criminal anti-trust penalty in US history, and the largest for five years.
The Korean firm is the world's biggest producer of DRAM and NAND chips.
It is also the second-biggest semiconductor maker after Intel, and one of the largest makers of liquid crystal displays along with LG Philips.
