It is desirable to have good graphics, animations etc. in order to attract the attention of the visitors but make sure that your webpage size shouldn't be so big that it takes huge amount of time in order to get downloaded. But it all depends on the theme of your website. If yours is a website design company that sells website design services, i.e you want people to pay you to design their website, it is in your interest not to make your site too plain. Many potential customers see your site as an example of what their site can become.
2) Using spectacular graphics for your website design:
Creating graphics is an effective way to communicate your message to your customers/ potential customers. This creates a long lasting impression in the mind of the customers/potential customers. This is an effective way to promote your products or services. This makes your promotion lively as well. There are many aspects that are associated with creating a good graphic design. the graphics size, color, font style, layout, direction etc.. But the bottom line is to create something that fulfills its purpose in the best way. But graphics should be used judiciously and smartly.
