# IT sector pushed further a concept called "Team Work". All IT professionals are required to know how to work and perform in a team. IT industry is not meant for single professional and so it is more of a team of professionals who can deliver for the company together. # In an IT company communication is the key. A technically brilliant person without proper communication skills is not desirable in a typical IT company. They should be able to translate all the technical aspect of the job to the others. Apart from that, a good communication skill ensures that the need of the clients can be best understood and translated for the development process.
# In the prevailing cost cutting corporate culture, those who can save valuable resources for the company is more desired than those who are good but waste office resources unnecessarily.
# The employee's interpersonal skills plays an important role in ascertaining his/her success in an IT company. Interpersonal skills gains its relevance from the fact that IT industry works in a team and if it is tough to communicate with a member of a team then the entire team might fail in delivering a work.
# Every IT professional must have some Managerial capabilities. This will help them grow within the company. most companies now seek those who shows some basic managerial capabilities along with the technical expertise needed for a specific job.
