By analysing these you will get an insight view on what you expect your visitors will see and possibly expect themselves. Also important is to determine the "eye catchy" graphics of the site. Apart from those mentioned above, don`t get lured away with the web site templates that are found on the web. Those are usually targetted at the web designers because they have got those adequate softwares to open them and use them.
Certains facts about the pre made templates that designers should be aware of:
# The website template they are using might be very eye catchy but they should remember that thry will be sharing their layout templates with innumberable sites. One can find these templates in a cheaper rates but that is because these are sold and re sold over and over again.
# Some of the templates that are found on the web are extremely graphics driven. So those templates will take huge amount of time to load. As a result, although being a beautiful templates, will remain unseen becuase the visitor might not be having that much time to wait for the graphics to load.
So the best way is to design your website templates through a website design company or website design professional who will take care of these issues. Designing a template should not cost more than $500 but this depends on how you want your template should look like.
Regarding animations:
It is very important for the designers to refrain from making heavy animations. what is the use of those animations which takes huge amount of time to open. How good the animation might be but it gets its importance only if viewed. Designers should keep the following things in mind while developing Graphics and web pages:
1) Graphic Design Layout: Should be no more than: 30-50K in size
2) Programming Pages: Shouldn't be more than: 10-30k in size
This will Give your entire web page no more than 40k-80k in size. Anything drastically more will result in the loss of many visitors from slow downloading pages.
What I will usually take part in, if any, is smaller, more unique banners that are gueared to complimenting an article or text with it. This is much more effective because study shows us that "Content (text)" accompanied by a "graphic image" is more likely to be read by our visitors than just text on it's own.
