Page layout for website
Page layout is an important constituent of your entire website design. Poor page layout will take away the interest of the visitor viewing your website. Proper page layout enhances the usability of the webpages of your website. Page layout is particularly important if the majority of content of your website consists of Text. Proper page layout helps you to communicate the correct informations to the visitors of the website. The visitors will know what part of your website is important for them and what not. The text layout of your website should be such that it can propagate all the informations about your business, the products/services that you offer to your customers etc. effectively and efficiently.
Few things must be kept in mind while designing the page layout of your webpage:
# It must be interesting. The visitors must be able to exactly locate those portions of your website which is of their interest. Page headers and footers plays an important role to set the preference of the visitors. The visitors will know that he will get significant amount of informations through the headers.
# Text contents of the webpage is also very important because no one likes long and uninteresting text contents of a webpage. The text contents should be brief and best explains the theme of your business.
# The text content of the webpages should be smaller in size because no one prefers to stare at the computer screen for long hours in order to read. The computer screens low resolution makes reading the pages very exhausting. So long stare at the computer screen can affect the eye muscles. Also too much dense paragraphs are discouraged because mostly the reader might loose track of the last statement that he/she was reading. hence they might find the webpage content to be boring and might swap over to some other website. Therefore large block of statements should be avoided and try to make the statements shorter in size for easy reading to the visitors of the website.
# Highlight the important text of the webpages. This will make sure that the visitors see to those even if he/she is not interested to go through the entire content of the webpage. Incorporate bullet marks on the important statements or use some small graphics to highlight anything that is specifically very important to your website.
Keep these simple points in mind in order to get a good result from your website.
